A couple of minor things for your attention:
First, I would like you to also read the problems and notes on pages 428 through 431. I inadvertently left these off the syllabus, but have now added them.
Second, I will be asking in class for one or maybe two volunteers from Team 3, which currently has 7 members, to join team 4, which currently has 4 members, for the remainder of the semester. (10/28) |
| The tentative syllabus for
Administrative Law is posted at
http://www.law.buffalo.edu/Academics/courses/631/eemeid/index.htm.
Please take a close look at it and make sure you are comfortable with the
structure and expectations of the course. This will be a somewhat intensive learning experience. We are scheduled to cover a large amount of material that many people consider difficult and/or boring (in fact, most of it is neither) in the relatively short period of two months. Reading assignments average about 40 pages per class. That is likely to seem heavy but probably not unreasonable to most of you, since the classes will be 2 hours and 15 minutes long. However, you should be aware that I am seriously considering extending the class into or through December and reducing the individual reading assignments somewhat. I will discuss this possibility with you at our first class session. Notice also that I have assigned some introductory reading for the first class session. Please find time to read it before we start so that you can come to class with questions. Finally, I will be organizing you into several "teams" – each of which will be responsible for being "on" in three or four class sessions. You should check back to the syllabus after those teams have been posted. |
