On Saturday afternoon, October 15th, 2011, a workshop on 'How to draw New York Election Districts' will introduce you to a newly developed open source software, called "DistrictBuilder." DistrictBuilder was developed by the "Public Mapping Project," with funding by the Sloan Foundation, to improve transparency and public participation of the redistricting process by providing a web-based tool for drawing election districts.

The workshop is open to the general public. You need not have attended the conference to join us at the workshop.
