Welcome to the 18th Annual Herbert Wechsler National Criminal Law Moot Court Competition. This year's event will be hosted by the University at Buffalo School of Law on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Erie County Courthouse in Downtown Buffalo.
Below you will find the information you need to participate in this year's competition. Please direct all questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis based on the postmark date on a team's registration form. Schools wishing to register more than two teams should indicate so on the registration form, but admission of additional teams will be subject to availability of spaces. One coach per admitted team may attend the oral advocacy competition.
Teams will be given a number after they register and before the brief is released. This number will determine whether the team is writing for the petitioner or the respondent. All briefs must be submitted electronically to email@example.com

The awards ceremony/banquet will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn. Teams are encouraged to reserve rooms at this hotel, as there is a special discounted rate of $112 per night they will receive when booking the rooms for the competition. We’ve chosen this location due to their close location for traveling convenience to/from the Erie County Courthouse. If your team has a preference to stay at a different hotel, that is certainly permitted; however, we do not have a similar fee arrangement with other local hotels.
Teams can and should start booking their reservations ASAP for the weekend of the competition. YOU MUST USE the group code of “BUF” when booking.
