Inconsistent use of our official law school name causes confusion and ultimately impacts our reputation. A single, unified identity will deliver our brand clearly and compelling.

  • University at Buffalo School of Law, The State University of New York
  • UB School of Law (as a secondary reference)

The following are not permitted options:

   -  SUNY School of Law
   -  SUNY Law School
   -  University at Buffalo Law School
   -  UB Law School

The University

Formal academic name:

  • University at Buffalo
  • University at Buffalo, The State University of New York

This name should be used on all communications, such as affiliations on journal articles, conference registrations, contest entry forms, email signatures, and other written materials.

The use of "SUNY-Buffalo" and other versions of the official name are no longer permitted.
