“As a transfer student that has attended two law schools, I can honestly say the staff, professors and students at UB Law are the best.”

Hometown: Buffalo, NY

Undergraduate institution and major: UB, Social Science Interdisciplinary Legal Studies.

Legal Interests: Family Law & Criminal Law.

Law School activities: Black Law Student Association (BLSA), Family and Children’s Law Society, Intersectional Activism Alliance, Student Bar Association, Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition and Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York.

Why did you choose UB School of Law?:
I transferred to UB School of Law after completing my 1L out of state because I was homesick and felt UB was a better fit for my academic and professional interests.

Advice for accepted students: Keep up with the class readings, start outlining early and make time for self-care in your weekly schedule.

Fun fact: I have a daughter who is ironically named Justice.
