Biography

Carina Schoenberger joined the University at Buffalo School of Law faculty in 2023 after more than twelve years serving as an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA), first in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and then in the Northern District of New York. Schoenberger has authored approximately seventy-five federal appellate briefs and argued more than twenty cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She worked as a government trial attorney on both civil and criminal matters, and her extensive courtroom experience includes federal jury trials, dispositive motion hearings, and sentencing proceedings.

Schoenberger graduated from New York University School of Law and received her undergraduate degree in history cum laude from Columbia University. Between college and law school, she worked in the academic publishing industry.
