Circle of Leaders

Join the Circle of Leaders and help the School of Law plan for the future.

Leaders Show the Way!

The Circle of Leaders is a new standard of giving from our most loyal leadership donors. By serving as a focal point for Law School philanthropy, the Circle is the engine for forward momentum. The Circle of Leaders helps secure the Law School's place on a national stage of ideas and actions – a place where our past is remembered and our future is played out with energy, intellect and passion.

Why Join?

Long-term private support is key to securing our place as a world-class law school – providing a reliable and predictable source of funding for student scholarships, academic programs, faculty hiring and facility improvement. You can make an immediate difference in the lives of our students, today and in the future.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What type of commitment must I make to become a Charter Member of the Circle of Leaders?
A: Membership requires a minimum pledge of $1,000 per year for three years. The Charter phase expires on June 30, 2013.

Q: I already give annually. Why should I become a member of the Circle of Leaders?
A: Three-year commitments allow the Law School to be more efficient with its resources and help it plan for the future. Reliable and predictable funding is necessary for progress in student scholarship, academic programs, faculty hiring and facility improvement.

Q: Is the Circle of Leaders different from the Hyman, O'Brian and Jaeckle giving societies?
A: YES. The Circle of Leaders is a new society that requires a three-year commitment at one of the current society levels. For example, you could become a Circle of Leaders member at the Edwin & Erma Jaeckle level ($5,000+/year for three years).

Q: If I join the Circle of Leaders, will I still be called each year for an Annual Fund gift?
A: NO, your Circle of Leaders gift commitment is your Annual Fund gift. No more phone calls, just one friendly pledge reminder that you will receive in the mail one month prior to the payment due date.

Q: When my Circle of Leaders membership expires in three years, what happens?
A: We will ask you to renew your membership and stay within the Circle. We would like to continue to grow the Circle each year.

Q: Can I designate my gift to be used in any area of the Law School?
A: YES. Unrestricted support is always appreciated by the dean to address immediate concerns, but you can designate your gift to any area of the Law School. Your gift must be a three-year commitment at $1,000/year or greater.
