With the recent news that author Harper Lee will publish a sequel to her beloved novel To Kill a Mockingbird, public attention has again focused on a great fictional lawyer – the book’s hero, Atticus Finch.
The School of Law took to the road to give lawyers at Buffalo’s oldest law firm a taste of what interim Dean James A. Gardner called “an extremely rich intellectual environment.”
A milestone for generations of newly minted lawyers – the New York State bar exam – is about to undergo an extreme makeover, and for UB School of Law students, it may open doors to new opportunities.
Using a case study approach to investigate protection of endangered species, Professor Jessica Owley, found significant gaps in how public agencies operate. Her article, “Keeping Track of Conservation,” appears in the latest issue of the Ecology Law Quarterly.
