GOLD Group CLE: Legal Issues in
Police Encounters and the Use of Force
University at Buffalo School of Law & the Law Alumni Association’s GOLD Group present a CLE program. The program features Gerald J. Gill, Jr. '93, Chief of Police, Lancaster Police Department; John V. Elmore, Esq., Partner, The Law Offices of Steve Boyd and John Elmore; and Gerard E. O'Connor, Esq. '86, Partner, Lippman and O'Connor.

The World Trade Center’s
Oculus...Inside and Out (NYC)
Join the UB Alumni Association's New York City Chapter for a reception and a presentation by Michael Garz, BA ’72, senior vice president of architecture, engineering and construction management for STV Inc. and project manager for the construction of the $4 billion World Trade Center Transportation Hub. A member of the first graduating class in architecture and planning at UB and recipient of the UB Alumni Association's 2017 Distinguished Alumni Award, Garz will provide a detailed look into the construction of Oculus, with drinks and appetizers before and after. The event will be hosted by fellow UB architecture alum and previous Distinguished Alumni Award recipient Mark Nusbaum, MArch ’85, BPS ’83.

Rochester Alumni Chapter's Annual
Reception for Newly Admitted Attorneys
The Rochester, New York Chapter of the UB Law Alumni Association is holding an Ethics CLE & our Annual Spring Reception to welcome Rochester's newly admitted UB School of Law graduates. Please join us for an informative and fun discussion of civility and ethics - and earn 1.5 NYS CLE ethics credits in the process. David H. Tennant, Esq., a partner at Nixon Peabody LLP and a member of the MCBA's Ethics Committee, will lead a discussion on "How not to be that person," including how to know if your behavior is truly civil, as well as strategies for dealing with incivility. An engaging roundtable discussion using hypotheticals, which address various ethical issues that arise in the courtroom and beyond, will follow. Panelists will include: Laura A. Myers '05, Attorney at The Wolford Law Firm LLP; Hon. Eugene F. Pigott, Jr. '73, New York State Supreme Court Justice for the Eighth Judicial District and former Senior Associate Judge for the New York State Court of Appeals; and Hon. Gerald J. Whalen '83, Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division, New York State Supreme Court, Fourth Judicial Department.
CLE: Earn 1.5 NYS CLE credits in the area of Ethics & Professionalism (transitional or non-transitional credit).

Parking for visitors is limited to certain lots and metered areas. Visitors to the North Campus can park in the Center for Tomorrow Lot off Flint Road without charge and use our shuttle service.
