The University at Buffalo School of Law uses a variety of assessment measures. One such measure is a final examination. Instructors may choose to give a written exam through the ExamSoft software Examplify, or they may use a scantron for multiple choice or true/false. They may also administer their own examination via UBLearns. Some instructors may utilize multiple exam administration methods.
Examplify is an exam delivery module licensed by ExamSoft Worldwide Inc. The program serves as a simplified word processor that enables students to take an examination on a laptop computer. In an effort to avoid the vulnerabilities of most computer-based testing solutions, Examplify provides instructors the ability to lock down all Windows applications thereby providing exam security.
Scantron forms can be filled in using pen or pencil. Students will need to have their eight digit person number available, which is located on your UB ID card.
