UB grad school programs again ranked among nation’s best
Several UB graduate and professional degree programs have been cited as among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report's annual ranking of “America’s Best Graduate Schools."

The latest data on a much-talked-about issue in legal education, the amount of education debt carried by new graduates, shows that the University at Buffalo School of Law grads carry less debt than nearly ninety percent of their peers.

Because our graduates typically enter their careers with a substantially lower financial burden, they can select a career path that isn't dictated by a large debt load.

Law School comes in 5th out of 15 law schools for having the most Super Lawyers for 2015

Unlike other law school rankings that are based on GPAs and LSAT scores, Super Lawyers magazine examines at the quality of lawyers produced by the schools. SUNY Buffalo Law School has 547 alumni listed as Super Lawyers for 2015, beating out such law schools as Cornell, St. John’s and Syracuse.

At its 40th annual gathering, held April 3 and 4 in Schenectady, the New York African Studies Association honored Professor Makau W. Mutua as its Distinguished Africanist.


After a career of advocating for women’s and civil rights, Marcus was honored with the first Woman of SUNY Buffalo Law Award.


The Lecturer Bernadette Gargano's Pro Se Civil Litigation Support Practicum was selected to receive the Bar Association of Erie County's 2015 Justice Award.

Professor Kim Diana Connolly, Danielle Pelfrey Duryea and Lisa A. Bauer of SUNY Buffalo Law School have been named 2015-16 Bellow Scholars by the American Association of Law Schools Clinical Legal Education Section.
Professor James Gardner has been named in a recent scholarly survey aimed at identifying the ten most cited faculty for the period of 2009 through 2013 in the area of election law.
