How would you describe your experience?

My intern experience was both challenging and rewarding. I had the opportunity to work alongside dedicated prosecutors and staff, gaining firsthand insight into the criminal justice system. I assisted with case preparation, reviewed evidence, and observed court proceedings, which helped me better understand the legal process and the importance of it all. The experience strengthened my interest in criminal law and taught me the value of attention to detail, professionalism, and integrity in serving the community.

What impacted you the most?

One of the most impactful parts of my internship was seeing how the work done behind the scenes directly affects people's lives. Sitting in on court proceedings and watching attorneys advocate for victims and uphold justice made everything feel real and meaningful. I was especially moved by cases involving vulnerable individuals, where the outcome truly changed the course of someone's life. It was a powerful reminder of why this work matters and how dedicated legal professionals can make a lasting difference in their community.

What would you like to share with our donors?

I would like to sincerely express my gratitude to the donors of the Dean's Advisory Council Fellowship for making my internship experience at the DA's office possible. Your support allowed me to fully engage in this opportunity, gaining invaluable insight into the legal system while developing both personally and professionally. This experience has solidified my passion for pursuing a career in law and public service, and I'm incredibly thankful for the chance to learn and grow in such a meaningful environment. Thank you so much for everything.
