How would you describe your experience?
This summer, I interned at the U.S. Attorney's Office, where I supported AUSAs in both the criminal and civil divisions. I drafted memos, conducted legal research, observed court proceedings, and helped prepare trial materials. The experience sharpened my writing and advocacy skills and deepened my interest in litigation and public service.
What impacted you the most?
Reviewing habeas corpus petitions gave me insight into post-conviction litigation from the government's side. I analyzed constitutional claims and drafted responses grounded in precedent and fairness. It showed me the weight prosecutors carry, even after trial, and deepened my appreciation for thoughtful, balanced advocacy.
What would you like to share with our donors?
Thank you so much to the University at Buffalo Law Alumni Association for your generous support. Because of your donations, I was able to spend this summer at the U.S. Attorney's Office gaining invaluable experience in public service. Without this support, I wouldn't have been able to afford the daily costs for my hour-long commute to Albany. This internship deepened my commitment to justice and gave me hands-on experience I'll carry forward in my legal career. I'm incredibly grateful, your contributions truly made this possible.
