Law School Career Services Fund

Our Career Services Office (CSO) plays a pivotal role in empowering students, alumni, and employers regarding the current legal market needs and best practices. With a dedicated focus on equipping individuals with the tools for successful career development, the CSO fosters meaningful and lasting employment connections through a compassionate and mindful approach. They offer personalized career counseling, professional development opportunities, mentor programs and much more.

The Law School Career Services Fund provides financial assistance in support of these efforts. That financial assistance helps provide funds for important items like supplies for the well-used Career Closet (offering gently used suits free to students), support for students to maximize their interviewing experience (including defraying the cost of travel to interviews), and payments for external career fairs and other professional development opportunities.

The Career Services Office supported me through every step of my career search, from landing my first legal internship at the U.S. Attorney’s Office during my first year, to securing my dream job as a patent attorney in a large private firm following graduation. The CSO’s dedication to building its alumni network provided me with introductions to practitioners working in the fields I was interested in, even in niche areas of law, such as patent law. These introductions played an important role in allowing me to achieve my career goals. The CSO was extremely helpful in refining my resume to highlight my skills and achievements, preparing me for both formal and cold call interviews, and providing me with continuous encouragement along the way.  - Gabriella, Class of 2022

The Career Closet is a hugely helpful resource for law students. For many of us who don’t have the funds to buy new interview attire while managing tuition and other bills, the Career Closet is a lifesaver that gives us access to high quality professional clothing suitable for any interview or work occasion. Thanks to generous donations from the community and the space provided by the school, the Career Closet is able to retain a wide selection of style and size to fit whatever needs we have. - N., Class of 2024
