Oliver C. Young ’80 of Williamsville, N.Y., has become of counsel with Barclay Damon LLP in the Buffalo office. Young is a member of the firm’s commercial litigation and torts & products liability defense practice areas. He previously served as a principal court attorney with the New York State Supreme Court, 8th Judicial District in Buffalo. Young is a past recipient of the UB Law Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumnus Award for public service. He is vice president and president-elect of the Bar Association of Erie County in Buffalo.

Gerard M. Meehan ’82 has been named special counsel to the University at Buffalo’s Center for the Advancement of Sport. Meehan is former general manager and senior vice president of the Buffalo Sabres. He is a native of Ontario, Canada.

Hon. Gerald J. Whalen ’83 received the 2019 Jurist of the Year Award from the Judges & Police Executives Conference of Erie County, N.Y., in Kenmore, N.Y. Whalen is presiding justice of the New York State Supreme Court’s Appellate Division, Fourth Department, in Buffalo. He is a resident of Hamburg, N.Y.

Kevin H. Yeager ’85 has become a partner and head of the real estate practice group with Tully Rinckey PLLC in the Binghamton, N.Y., office. Yeager lives in Vestal, N.Y.

Hon. Barbara R. Johnson-Lee ’86 was elected to the board of directors of the UB Law Alumni Association. She is a city court judge in Buffalo, where she resides.

Robert Brucato Jr. ’90 was elected to the board of directors of the UB Law Alumni Association. He is senior staff counsel with Counsel Press in Buffalo. Brucato is a resident of Williamsville, N.Y.

Diane M. Perri Roberts ’90 of Lewiston, N.Y., was elected to the board of directors of the UB Law Alumni Association. Roberts is a senior partner with Lipsitz Green Scime & Cambria LLP in the Buffalo office.

Cynthia L. Snodgrass ’92 received the Raymond J. Pauley Award from the Monroe County Bar Association in Rochester, N.Y. She is a court attorney-referee with the New York State Unified Court System, 7th Judicial District, in Rochester, N.Y. Snodgrass lives in Pittsford, N.Y.

Scott C. Becker ’93 was elected president of the UB Law Alumni Association. Becker is a partner with Kavinoky Cook LLP in Buffalo, where he resides.

Patricia S. Ciccarelli ’93, a partner with Schnitter Ciccarelli Mills PLLC in Williamsville, N.Y., was elected to the board of directors of the UB Law Alumni Association. She lives in East Amherst, N.Y.

Hon. Craig D. Hannah ’95 of Buffalo was promoted to chief judge of Buffalo City Court. Hannah supervises the Opiate Crisis Intervention Court in Buffalo, the nation’s first opiate intervention court. He is a past recipient of the UB Law Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumnus Award for the judiciary and a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council.

Teresa Bair ’96 was elected to the board of directors of the UB Law Alumni Association. Bair is senior vice president, administration and legal affairs, and corporate secretary with Athenex Inc. in Buffalo. She lives in Snyder, N.Y.

Melissa Hancock Nickson ’97 was elected a vice president of the UB Law Alumni Association. Nickson is a court attorney referee and the Civil ADR program administrator of the Martin P. Violante Alternative Dispute Resolution Program for the 8th Judicial District in Buffalo. Nickson lives in Orchard Park, N.Y.

Jeffrey C. Stravino ’97 was elected treasurer of the UB Law Alumni Association. Stravino is a partner with Hodgson Russ LLP in its Buffalo office. He is a lifetime member of the Law Alumni Association and a resident of Grand Island, N.Y.

Caroline A. Wojtaszek ’97 received the Outstanding Women in Law Award from the Eighth Judicial District Gender and Racial Fairness Committee, in Buffalo. She is Niagara County district attorney in Lockport, N.Y., the first woman to hold that position in Niagara County, and a recipient of the UB Law Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumna Award for public service. Wojtaszek lives in North Tonawanda, N.Y.

Tiffany R. Perry ’00 was elected treasurer-elect of the UB Law Alumni Association. Justin T. Wallens ’02 was named Prosecutor of the Year by Crime Stoppers in Buffalo. Wallens is an assistant district attorney with the Erie County District Attorney’s Office in Buffalo. He lives in Lancaster, N.Y.

Hon. Peter J. Savage III ’03 has been appointed a Buffalo City Court judge. Savage previously served as an Erie County legislator, 3rd Legislative District in Buffalo and was chair of the Legislature. He is a Buffalo resident.

Yasaman S. Sutton ’04 has become senior adviser and counselor to the director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in Washington, D.C. Sutton lives in Falls Church, Va.

Hon. Matthew R. Coseo ’05 was appointed Wilton Town Court justice in Wilton, N.Y., where he resides. Coseo is principal court attorney with the Saratoga County Surrogate’s Court in Ballston Spa, N.Y.

Megan A. Gomez ’05 was elected a vice president of the UB Law Alumni Association. She is senior legal counsel with Univera Healthcare in Buffalo, where she resides.

Anne E. Joynt ’05 was elected president-elect of the UB Law Alumni Association. She is a junior partner with Lipsitz & Ponterio LLC in Buffalo. Joynt is a resident of East Amherst, N.Y.

Ryan P. Crawford ’06, a partner with Gibson McAskill & Crosby LLP in Buffalo, was elected to the board of directors of the UB Law Alumni Association. Crawford lives in Orchard Park, N.Y.

Jennifer M. Oliver ’07 was promoted to partner with MoginRubin LLP in San Diego, Calif., where she resides. She specializes in antitrust as well as complex business and investment litigation.

Jennifer M. Pacella ’08 has become a faculty member with the business law and ethics department at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in Bloomington, Ind. She was previously assistant professor of law with the City University of New York, Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business in New York City. Pacella is a resident of Forest Hills, N.Y.

Ryan K. Parisi ’10 was re-elected to the board of directors of the UB Law Alumni Association’s GOLD Group. Parisi is an assistant district attorney with the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office in Lockport, N.Y., where he resides.

Julia J. Henrichs ’11 has become associated with Phillips Lytle LLP in Rochester, N.Y., where she resides. Henrichs counsels clients regarding real estate law, including commercial real estate and foreclosures.

Duwaine T. Bascoe ’12 received the William E. McKnight Volunteer Service Award from the Volunteer Legal Services Project of Monroe County, in Rochester, N.Y. Bascoe is an associate with Abrams Fensterman in Rochester, N.Y. He lives in Penfield, N.Y.

Meghan A. Corcoran ’13 was elected president of the UB Law Alumni Association’s GOLD Group. She is senior attorney with National Fuel Gas Co. in Williamsville, N.Y. Corcoran, a lifetime member of the Law Alumni Association, lives in Cheektowaga, N.Y.

Jason T. Daniels ’15 of Cheektowaga, N.Y., was appointed to the board of directors of the Massachusetts Avenue Project in Buffalo. The project seeks to nurture the growth of a diverse and equitable local food system and promote local economic opportunities, access to affordable, nutritious food, and social change education. Daniels is an associate with Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP in the Buffalo office.

He is an agency attorney with the New York City Human Resource Administration, Department of Social Services, Office of Legal Affairs, Support and Lien Recovery Litigation Unit, in Queens, N.Y., where he resides.
