Tasha E. Moore ’98 received the Sharon A. Thomas Humanitarian Award from the New York State Unified Court System, 8th Judicial District, in Buffalo. Moore is deputy district executive with the court system’s Office of Court Administration, 8th Judicial District

Hon. Phillip L. Dabney Jr. ’02 has been appointed a Buffalo City Court judge. Dabney previously served as legal counsel with the Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority in Buffalo, where he resides.

Rachel E. Shaw ’03 of Brooklyn, N.Y., has been promoted to partner with Pryor Cashman LLP in the New York City office. She is a member of the firm’s real estate and litigation groups and chair of its diversity committee.

Meghan Dwyer ’08 has been promoted to partner with Barclay Damon LLP in the Buffalo office, handling cases involving mass and toxic torts as well as torts and products liability defense. She lives in Williamsville, N.Y.

Jeffrey P. Gleason ’08 has become senior counsel with Bond Schoeneck & King PLLC in Buffalo. He previously served as assistant general counsel with Delaware North in Buffalo. Gleason, a member of the board of directors of the UB Law Alumni Association, lives in Amherst, N.Y.

Amanda B. Burns ’11 received the Hon. Judith S. Kaye Commercial and Federal Litigation Scholarship from the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association. The scholarship is awarded to up to five female litigators to attend a session of the section’s Commercial Litigation Academy. Burns is a partner with Ward Greenberg Heller & Reidy LLP in the Rochester, N.Y., office. She is a resident of Webster, N.Y.

Andrew P. Devine ’12 of Orchard Park, N.Y., has been promoted to partner with Phillips Lytle LLP in the Buffalo office. Devine is a member of the firm’s litigation practice group, focusing on environmental, mass tort, business, contract, construction, banking, insurance and real estate litigation.

Shatorah Donovan ’12 received a 2021 Buffalo Business First IDEA (Inclusion Diversity Equity Awareness) Award. Donovan was recently named an inaugural member of the Buffalo Business First diversity board. She is the chief diversity officer for the City of Buffalo and lives in Amherst, N.Y.

Anne R. Haaland ’12 has been promoted to shareholder with Henson & Efron P.A. in Minneapolis, practicing family law. Haaland lives in Minneapolis.  

William A. Lorenz Jr. ’12 has become a senior associate with the Mura Law Group in Buffalo, counseling clients regarding insurance coverage litigation. He resides in Hamburg, N.Y.  

Richard J. Phillips III ’14 has been named special counsel with Cantor Wolff Nicastro & Hall LLC in Buffalo, handling personal injury cases. He has been a police officer for 18 years in Amherst, N.Y., where he resides.

Joseph G. Trapp ’16 was named in Buffalo Business First 30 Under 30 for 2021. Trapp is an associate with Greco Trapp PLLC in Buffalo and CEO of Third Estate Analytics in Buffalo. He is a lifetime member of the UB Law Alumni Association. Trapp lives in Alden, N.Y.    

Sarah M. Washington ’16 was named to the National Black Lawyers “Top 40 Under 40” list for New York. She is an associate with Goldberg Segalla LLP in the Buffalo office. Washington is president-elect of the UB Law Alumni Association’s GOLD Group. She is a resident of Lake View, N.Y.

Cortney A. Frank ’17 has joined Cantor, Wolff, Nicastro & Hall LLC as an associate in Buffalo, practicing personal injury. She lives in West Seneca, N.Y.  

Matthew W. Taylor ’18 of Pittsford, N.Y., was appointed deputy public administrator for Monroe County in Rochester, N.Y. Taylor will assume the administration of the estates of deceased residents that would otherwise remain unadministered for lack of proper representation. He is an associate with Bond Schoeneck & King PLLC in Rochester, handling cases involving trusts and estates.

Mohammed A. Alam ’20 has accepted a position as an associate with Hodgson Russ LLP in the Buffalo and New York City offices, practicing litigation. He is a Buffalo resident.

Brandon M. Lê ’20 has joined Hodgson Russ LLP as an associate in the Buffalo office, practicing in the corporate and securities practice group. He lives in North Tonawanda, N.Y.  

Christine M. Naassana ’20 has become associated with Ward Greenberg Heller & Reidy LLP in the Rochester, N.Y., office. Naassana handles cases involving civil litigation including business litigation, employment and tort defense matters. She resides in Pittsford, N.Y.
