A virtual series, the UB Law Alumni Association’s GOLD Group hosts Mid-Morning Coffee Chats providing law students with an opportunity to network with a panel of alumni leaders in their fields.

Alumni talk about various career paths and reveal tips for being successful in practice post-law school, as well as answer questions law students have regarding their interest in the field.

Emily Rudroff ’15, Sr. Sales Administrator/Contracts, Moog Inc.Emily will discuss non-traditional legal employment, as she has never worked in a traditional legal role.

Sarah Washington ’16, Senior Attorney at National Fuel Gas.Sarah will share her experience transitioning from different areas of law, transitioning to different law firms, and transitioning to an in-house attorney role all within her first five years of practice.

Ari Goldberg, ’17, Associate, Barclay Damon LLP.
Ari first practiced in insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, and commercial litigation. About three years into practice, he accepted a position as an associate in the Land Use and Zoning Practicing Area at Barclay Damon.

In a roundtable discussion, they will talk about various career paths and the potential for changes in career trajectory, as well as answer questions you may have regarding career paths and transitions. All three of these alumni have a wealth of information and span various areas of practice - some of which you may not have yet considered.
