Program Specifics

The NYC Program takes place in the spring semester of each year. The Program provides students with a full semester’s worth of credits, and satisfies several requirements necessary for graduation.

Classes

Classes are taught Monday through Wednesday of each week. The substantive emphasis is on actual work; the tone is practical. Under the direction of UB School of Law faculty, students learn from a diverse group of successful business people, lawyers and regulators.

Students earn twelve credits for the classroom components of the program towards the J.D. degree seminar requirement, and satisfy their seminar requirement.

Classes are held in our midtown space, as well as at law firms, investment banks, private equity funds, and other corporate offices. In addition, the NYC Program visits relevant sites for general education.
