About Mason P. Ashe

Mason Ashe is the founder and CEO of Ashe Sports & Entertainment Consulting Inc. He negotiates compensation, sponsorship, NIL, content acquisition and intellectual property deals on behalf of companies and elite athletes in the NBA, NFL, college, high school and global athletics. He also negotiates live and virtual performance, product endorsement and licensing agreements on behalf of entertainers, celebrities, influencers, content creators, public and private companies, non-profit organizations, and innovators of new media.

As an industry expert, he designs curricula to educate students, executives and entrepreneurs about industry trends, marketing and management best practices.

He is of counsel and an industry adviser to the law firm Blank Rome LLP. Ashe also is a part-time sports law lecturer at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an adjunct professor of sports law at Howard University School of Law. 

His career highlights include:

  • Managed the brand development and business/legal affairs of pro athletes, coaches, physicians, fitness experts, singers, songwriters, musicians, comedians, actors, models and influencers.
  • One of the first agents of color to negotiate a player contract for a rookie NFL quarterback drafted in the first round of the league’s annual college draft. One of the few NFL agents to negotiate a multiyear player contract valued over $100 million.
  • Developed strategies to resolve global immigration barriers for professional athletes.
  • Designed a curriculum for financial advisers and served as industry adviser to wealth management companies on trending cultural, legal and economic issues.
  • Designed and taught sports law and sports management courses for high school, business and law school students for the past 21 years.
  • Recognized twice by Sports Illustrated magazine as one of the “101 Most Influential Minorities in Sports.”
