Postponement of the 2021 Edwin F. Jaeckle Award Ceremony

We join our many colleagues in mourning the passing of Hon. Hugh B. Scott ’74, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Western District of New York. A longtime champion of equal access to the justice system, Judge Scott exemplified the highest ideals of the law school and of the legal profession. Our 2021 Edwin. F. Jaeckle Award – the highest honor bestowed by the law school and the law alumni association – was scheduled to be presented to Judge Scott on February 25, 2021. In light of his recent passing, the event has been postponed. We will share the new date as soon as it is available.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Judge Scott’s family during this difficult time.
