Professor S. Todd Brown will guide UB School of Law forward through a period of transition. Brown has served as the school’s vice dean for academic affairs since 2016. Named interim dean, effective July 1, he takes the helm as Aviva Abramovsky, dean of the law school since 2017, returns to the faculty.

U.S. Supreme Court quotes Prof. Tanya Monestier
In Mallory v. Norfolk Southern Railway Co., 600 U.S. __ (2023), the U.S. Supreme Court recently addressed the question of whether registering to do business under a state registration statute amounts to consent to general personal jurisdiction. In his concurring opinion, Justice Samuel Alito quotes the amicus brief filed by Prof. Tanya Monestier. [See pages 13-14 of his opinion]
