A new chapter in alumni leadership is underway at UB School of Law. The Law Alumni Association is proud to introduce the dedicated alumni volunteers who will lead the LAA and GOLD Group in 2026–27, helping to build community, create opportunities and support the next generation of lawyers.
The Law Alumni Association (LAA)
At the forefront is Jeffrey P. Gleason ’08 who has served as a member of the LAA board since 2020. A member of Bond Schoeneck & King in Buffalo, Gleason is deputy chair of Bond's mergers and acquisitions practice and co-chair of its hospitality and tourism industry group. He brings a collaborative leadership style and a long record of guiding organizations through strategic growth, governance, and community engagement to his role as president of the Law Alumni Association.

The GOLD Group
The Law Alumni Association’s GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) Group has also elected its officers and directors for the 2026–27 term. A dynamic arm of the LAA, the GOLD Group is dedicated to empowering recent graduates through educational events, social gatherings, and networking opportunities that ease the transition from law school to legal practice.
This year’s president is Morgann K. Maxwell ’20, assistant county attorney at the
Erie County Department of Law, where she represents the County in civil matters. Grounded in a career dedicated to public service, Maxwell will lead the GOLD Group's efforts to deepen alumni engagement, strengthen professional networks and foster lasting connections between UB Law and its newest graduates.
