Supporting the Advocacy Institute and Our Year-End Celebration

Support the Advocacy Institute and recognize the many students, alumni and community partners who contribute to the Institute’s success!

Contribute to the Advocacy Institute

UB School of Law just rose to #82 in the recently released U.S. News & World Report rankings—a 12-point jump from last year.  It’s a milestone worth celebrating, and it reflects the momentum we’re building as we continue to aim even higher.

What the ranking doesn’t fully show is that our Advocacy Institute is a key driver in our rise. Students who participate in our trial teams, appellate advocacy, and dispute resolution programs consistently pass the bar and secure jobs at impressively high rates. Alumni trained in these programs know that’s not a product of chance. It’s the result of teaching students to do the work of great advocates—arguing motions, competing nationally, and performing under pressure.

To celebrate our rise to #82, we’re inviting you to give $82 to our Advocacy Institute to support the competitions, coaching, and hands‑on training that drive these outcomes and keep UB Law moving upward.

$82 not in your budget?
How about $8.20? Every dollar counts!

Got a little extra to share?
$820 covers a competition registration.
$8,200 covers the full costs of a 2026-2027 Travel Team.
