Rally the Pass

The road to practice is challenging. While law school tests intellect and stamina, passing the bar exam is the final hurdle.

The good news is that proper preparation through a bar review course will get you past the finish line. Data shows that UB Law graduates who complete 90% or more of a comprehensive, reputable bar prep program significantly increase their likelihood of passing the exam on their first attempt.

The greatest results come to those who rally and put the work in each and every day.

Additional bar support includes:

  • Access to dedicated, full-time academic success faculty throughout bar prep
  • Space in the Law Library for group and self-study
  • Tuition waivers for Bar Prep Courses for those demonstrating economic need.
  • Access to supplemental doctrinal and skills presentations.

Are you ready to rally?

The law school’s Rally the Pass initiative focuses on encouraging bar takers to stay focused and on track throughout their bar study. With fun incentives, informal coaching, and motivational tips from the law school community, bar takers are reminded that they are surrounded by a team of supporters who believe they can succeed.

How does it work?

UB School of Law graduates preparing to take the February 2026 bar exam for the first time can sign up to join our Herd of Champions. Students who register will receive a stainless-steel Rally the Pass water bottle to keep motivated (and hydrated) through the bar prep.

The Office of Academic Success will coach bar takers by keeping track of their progress while studying for the bar. Incentives, including Rally the Pass merchandise, will be awarded to participants who achieve the 25%, 50% and 75% course completion milestones.

Participants who reach the ultimate goal of 90%+ completion, will receive a special gift -- courtesy of the UB Law Alumni Association.
