Force Registration Request for Undergraduate LAW Courses

Complete this form to request force registration into undergraduate courses in the School of Law (LAW).

Students can submit force registration requests for the following reasons:

  1. Prerequisite or Corequisite Missing. This is only accepted if the following conditions apply:
    • Transfer work is in progress or has not been received by UB. Students must supply proof of enrollment and completion of the prerequisite or corequisite courses.
    • Student received an exception, approved by the course instructor and the Director of the Undergraduate Program.
  1. Repeat. Students are permitted to self-enroll in a class twice. Any attempts to register for the class beyond the two permitted must be approved by the department.
  2. Permission Required. This pertains to classes that require specific permissions from the School of Law or classes with reserves in place.

Submitting this form does not guarantee force registration into the course. Once received, requests will be evaluated by the Undergraduate Law Program Advisor & Coordinator and/or Vice Dean for Undergraduate Student Affairs & Teaching Faculty.

This form should not be used for LAW 495: Supervised Undergraduate TeachingLAW 496: Law Internship, or LAW 499: Independent Study. Information about how to enroll in those courses can be found on the Experiential Learning Opportunities for Undergraduates webpage
