Its work does double duty—ensuring access to justice for its clients and training law students in the skills they’ll need in practice.

    Associate Professor Heather Abraham’s experience as an Equal Justice Works Fellow was a pivotal point in her career. Now, with her appointment to the organization’s newly established Alumni Advisory Council, she’ll be in position to help the next generation of fellows find their place in public interest law.
  • Announcing the Professor Teresa A. Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund

    Teresa A. Miller, a longtime law faculty member and SUNY’s senior vice chancellor for strategic initiatives and chief diversity officer for the past three years, died after battling cancer. As we mourn the loss of Miller’s indomitable spirit, her family, friends, and colleagues honors her memory by establishing a Professor Teresa A. Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund at UB, which will provide a full tuition scholarship to a student enrolled in UB’s School of Law.
  • Meet Our 2021-22 Law Alumni Association Leaders

    Alumni involvement is a key part of keeping UB Law strong, and nowhere is that more apparent than in the law school’s two alumni leadership groups. The UB Law Alumni Association and the Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Group are charging into the new academic year with new officers and directors and high expectations for what they’ll accomplish.

Both reflect the initiative of third-year students who have experience to share and a commitment to easing the path for those who will come next.

    Law student and rugby player Simon Honig ’23 has been selected by Maccabi USA to represent the United States in next year’s World Maccabiah Games in Israel, a major international competition often called the “Jewish Olympics.”
