The UB Law Alumni Association (LAA) is pleased to introduce its incoming leadership for the 2025–26 term. At the forefront is LAA President Patricia S. Ciccarelli ’93, who has served as a dedicated member of the LAA board since 2019.  A founding member of Schnitter Ciccarelli Mills PLLC in Williamsville, N.Y., Ciccarelli is a trial attorney specializing in catastrophic injury cases.  A frequent writer and speaker for continuing legal education providers, she brings a strong commitment to legal education across New York State to her leadership role.

“I am truly grateful for the opportunity to represent and promote our great law school, its talented students, and our exceptional alumni,” Ciccarelli says. “While we will continue to honor the wonderful traditions of our Association, I am most looking forward to expanding and diversifying our offerings and events to further increase our alumni base and provide a welcoming place for all of us to continue to learn and grow together.”

Marina A. Barci ’18
25-26 GOLD Group President

The Law Alumni Association’s GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) Group has also elected its officers and directors for the 2025–26 term. A vibrant arm of the LAA, the GOLD Group is dedicated to empowering recent graduates through educational events, social gatherings, and networking opportunities that ease the transition from law school to legal practice.

Leading the charge is Marina A. Barci ’18, an accomplished appellate attorney at Kahana Feld’s Buffalo office, who serves as the GOLD Group’s president. Known for her versatility across litigation and corporate transactions, Barci brings both depth and energy to her work within the legal community. In 2022, she was recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star.

“I’m thrilled to be president of the GOLD group this year,” says Barci. “Our focus on bridging the gap between school and practice to ensure that a solid support network persists after graduation is key. UB’s networking is top notch, and to be able to help provide that experience to our students and young alumni alike is wonderful.”
