Hon. Stephen Lindley ’89 will receive the UB Law Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumnus Award for the judiciary on May 7 in Buffalo. He is an associate justice of the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Fourth Department, in Rochester, N.Y

Christine Smith Howard ’93 will receive the UB Law Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumna Award for business on May 7 in Buffalo. She is managing director and senior counsel with Société Générale in New York City.

Andrew M. Wilson ’98 has become a member of the School of Law’s Dean’s Advisory Council. He is a partner with Lippes Mathias LLP in Buffalo.

Michael P. Leone ’00 has become a member of the board of trustees of the Renaissance Academy Charter School of the Arts in Rochester, N.Y. He is senior counsel with Ferrara Fiorenza P.C. in East Syracuse, N.Y., representing school districts in education, labor and employment law.

Tracey B. Scarpello ’04 has joined the Rochester, N.Y., firm The Glennon Law Firm P.C. as counsel, focusing on complex tort and commercial disputes. She previously served as counsel with Nixon Peabody LLP in Buffalo.

Elizabeth Fox-Solomon ’06 will receive the UB Law Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumna Award for public service on May 7 in Buffalo. She is interim director and general counsel with the District of Columbia Office of Human Rights in Washington, D.C.

Hon. Gary A. Wilson Jr. ’08 will receive the UB Law Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumnus Award for community service on May 7 in Buffalo. Wilson is a Buffalo City Court judge and a former School of Law OUTLaw honoree, recognized for his service and activism on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community. 

Nathan W.G. Berti ’10 was appointed managing partner with Hodgson Russ LLP. He concentrates his practice in trusts and estates in the Buffalo, New York City and Hackensack, N.J., offices.

Justin M. Greatorex ’11 has been promoted to partner with Chapman and Cutler LLP in New York City. He focuses his practice in banking and financial services and commercial lending.

Lawrence W. Gallick ’12 has been promoted to partner with Morrison Foerster in the Austin, Texas, office. Gallick is a member of the technology transactions group.

Aarti Chandan ’21 has accepted a position as director of legal affairs at Bryant & Stratton College in Orchard Park, N.Y. She was previously an associate with Bond Schoeneck & King PLLC in Buffalo.

Kara M. Ryczek ’24 has become associated with Sidley Austin LLP, in the energy, transportation and infrastructure department in the New York City office. She was previously an associate with Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in New York City.

Christian Soto ’24 has accepted a position as an assistant attorney 3 with the New York State Department of Health, Division of Legal Affairs, Bureau of Program Counsel, in Albany, N.Y.

J.T. Benner ’25 has become associated with Barclay Damon LLP in the Buffalo office, counseling clients regarding intellectual property litigation and patents and prosecution matters.
