Law school is a life-changing experience. UB School of Law provides a supportive learning environment and a holistic approach to legal education. Further focus on core competencies and social responsibility will provide our students with the skills and knowledge needed to be ethical and practice-ready lawyers upon graduation.

• Increase engagement between faculty and students through expanded programming and enhanced opportunities in the law school curriculum.
• Develop comprehensive and integrated systems to ensure students receive individually appropriate forms of support and encouragement throughout law school to promote their success.
• Identify core competencies (such as strong writing skills) integral to success on the bar exam and in practice, and embed opportunities to improve these critical skills throughout the curriculum.
• Explore ways to expand opportunities in the curriculum and law school programming for students to develop the various facets of professional identity.
• Enhance engagement with the legal community to better inform efforts to bridge the transition for students from law school to the workplace.
