Office of Student Affairs (OSA)

We are here to assist you.

The Office of Student Affairs is dedicated to helping you achieve your academic and professional goals. Bernadette Gargano, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, is an attorney, professor, and law school administrator that reports directly to the Dean. She is also the chief advisor to students and faculty on academic policies, waivers, dual degrees, graduation requirements, and the student code of conduct.

In coordination with the University and law school departments, Dean Gargano provides services such as:

  • individual advising on academic requirements,
  • academic planning,
  • student support and wellness,
  • referrals for UB Student Services, such as counseling and accommodations,
  • planning for personal concerns, unexpected occurrences, and emergencies.
