Hosted by the University at Buffalo School of Law as part of the New York Law School Swing, the Western New York Law Fair brings together prospective law students and law school representatives for a day of connection, conversation, and exploration.

The Western New York Law Fair is designed for prospective law school applicants who want to learn more about the path to law school, explore law schools from across the country, and connect with the Western New York legal community.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from approximately 50 law schools, attend optional panel sessions, and participate in optional tours of UB School of Law’s O’Brian Hall.
Panel sessions and tours are optional; attendees are welcome to move between law fair tables, panels, and tours throughout the event.

Western New York Law Fair
Meet with representatives from law schools across the country and learn more about law school admissions, programs, and opportunities.
10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Belonging in Law School
A conversation about finding support, connection, and community in law school, featuring UB Law’s Diversity, Equity and Belonging Office, students, and/or alumni.
11:15 a.m.
Optional UB Law Tour
Tour Group 1 departs from the Center for the Arts for O’Brian Hall.
11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Inside the UB Law Experience: Faculty, Research, Advocacy, and Student Involvement
Learn about academic life at UB Law, including opportunities to work with faculty, engage in research and advocacy, and get involved beyond the classroom.
12:15 p.m.
Optional UB Law Tour
Tour Group 2 departs from the Center for the Arts for O’Brian Hall.
12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.
JD Career Pathways: Where a Legal Education Can Take You
Presented by the Career Services Office with alumni guest speakers
Explore the many paths a JD can support, including legal practice, public interest, government, business, and more.
