How to Apply for Legal Assistance from the Clinics and Practicums

Below are the Clinics and Practicums that are currently accepting applications/inquiries for legal assistnace. The applications are linked below. Each clinic and practicum has their own individual form. If a clinic or practicum is listed as not accepting inquiries or applications, they may open in the future but we are unable to provide specific dates.

Please note that we do not have a general application for legal services. We are limited in the types of cases that we are able to take on. If you do not see a clinic or practicum listed that can assist with your matter, please contact law-clinic@buffalo.edu to receive referrals to other agencies who may be able to assist you with your matter.

Civil Rights and Housing Clinic

As a part of our civil rights mission, we represent tenants facing eviction and engage in impact litigation in practice areas like housing and employment discrimination.
Criminal Justice Advocacy Clinic

Mediation Clinic

Veterans Law Practicum

The Veterans Law Practicum (VLP) connects UB Law students with veterans in need of critical legal assistance. Supervised by experienced attorneys, VLP students will provide vital support in four core areas: pension benefits, survivors' pensions, survivor benefits and Dependency and Indemnity Compensation, and Character of Discharge determinations

Access to Justice Clinic

Environmental Advocacy Clinic
