How would you describe your experience?

Young professional man standing against a green marbled wall next to a US flag and under a gold emblam.

This summer has been an amazing experience. Working alongside a federal judge and his law clerks has provided me with invaluable exposure to many different areas of the law. I was able to conduct research, draft decisions, and observe court proceedings. The skills I have learned this summer will benefit me throughout my entire legal career.

What impacted you the most?

The highlight of my internship this summer has been witnessing all different kinds of court proceedings, ranging from motion hearings to trials. This experience has provided me with exposure to how the federal court system operates and what good advocacy looks like firsthand. I was able to gain a broad understanding of how the law is applied in many different areas. Observing the law in action impacted my thought process when working on my own assignments.

What would you like to share with our donors?

I would like to express my sincere thank you to Kristin Graham Koehler and David K. Koehler for being the generous donors of this Fellowship. My experience this summer was made possible by your gift and I was able to take advantage of everything this summer had to offer.
