The University at Buffalo School of Law uses a variety of assessment measures. One such measure is a final examination. Instructors may choose to give a written essay, multiple choice, or true/false exam through the ExamSoft software Examplify. They may also administer their own examination via UBLearns. Some instructors may utilize multiple exam administration methods.
Examplify is an exam delivery module licensed by ExamSoft Worldwide Inc. The program serves as a simplified word processor that enables students to take an examination on a laptop computer. In an effort to avoid the vulnerabilities of most computer-based testing solutions, Examplify provides instructors the ability to lock down all Windows applications thereby providing exam security.
All multiple choice or true/false exams will be administered through ExamSoft. When students open Examplify for a multiple choice exam, they will advance through a numbered sequence on their screen and choose answers by clicking on choices of up to five answers. You have the ability to answer questions in order or skip around to a specific question. If there is also an essay on the exam, the essay will be the last question in the sequence.
